This product is velvet smooth and soft but hard. It is about 6.5 inches and comes in different prints and colors. I got the b lack on, but they do have an animal print one that I was thinking about getting too. The speed settings on the Black Velvet are Low to High of course. It goes from low to medium to high. The high gets pretty high on fully charged batteries, but it does get noisy the higher it gets. You can hear it under the blankets. Also, I like this little massager. I like the tip at the end, because it "points". The manufacturer says that this unit is pliable, I didn't find it pliable at all, but it is smooth. I did find that it's a better massager than a clitoral massager like a bullet.
